Chivalric and Rapier Tournaments
(group)

You will need to create a team to fight in this tournament. Each team will consist of 18 points.
The points breakdown as such:

5 points for each Knight, or Don
4 points for each Squire or Centurian or Cadet
3 points for Men at Arms and regular rapier fighters
0 points for Heralds

Each team will want to make sure to choose wisely.
Chivalric and Rapier Teams are also encouraged to compete in the Best Team Pageanty competition.

The entry fee to these two tournaments will be 1 (one) item that you, yourself, would be honored
to receive if it were brought by someone else. We ask that you do not bring an
item that is in need of repair or worn out. If there is an item
you no longer use and it is in very good shape, please bring it to pass down in the prize chest.

Best Team Pageantry
(group)

This competition will go to the Team who shows the best pageantry as a whole..
This can be just a fighting group, a fighting group and their list-side pavilion/people.
This can also include a hearld hearlding for your group (think Knight's Tale).

To compete in this category we will be looking for the group who shows the best pageantry with flags,
clothing, banners, whatever brings pageantry upon the list field.

Best Herald of the Day
(individual)

If you do not wish to fight and you have a talent for Site, List and/or Voice Heraldry,
you may want to give this competition a try.

If you are heralding for a fighting team, you can still compete in this competition.
If you have not been added to a team to hearld for them, you are more than welcome to offer your
heralding services to those teams who have no hearlds.

Remember, heraldry is not just speaking so you can be heard!
You will want be eliquent, dressed to amaze and be ready to preform at moments notice!

If you need inspiration, think Knight's Tale;
Are you the Best Herald?
Prove it!

Populace Choice
(individual or group)

This category is just that: The Populace Choice of who has the best pagentry.
We ask for the crowd to decide who helped them to have their
"Dream" enhanced on this Festival Day.

Best List Field Pavilion Display
(individual or group)

Do you enjoy sitting by the list field watching the tournaments?
Why not watch the fights in style and set up an amazing List Field Pavilion Display?
Use banners, flags, carpets, period seating, whatever you feel would show your pageantry style.

Even though this competition was first thought of for the non-fighting people attending,
a fighting team can match their on-the-field pageantry by setting up a dazzeling
display where they can sit and relax while watching other teams
try to match their grace and style.

Most Enthusiastic
(individual or group)

The person who shows the most enthusaism for the fight will obtain a reward at the end of the day.
Keep in mind this may not be just for the yelling and cheering on of favorite fighters,
it could go to those who help with the water bearing and comfort of the
fighters upon a hot summer's day.

A Fighter's Most Supportive Lady
(individual)

This competion will be for the Lady and/or Ladies of those who are fighting in
either the Rapier or the Chivalric tournaments.

What will be the things looked for during the day?
What are the things you will openly do to cheer on your fighter?
Does he openly salute you upon the field or does he charm you with the way he swaggers
off the field just to be near you?

This one is for you Ladies, fight well with your grace, charm and beauty.

The Children's Strawberry Hunt
(individual)

The children will not be left out on this day of feasting!
It has been said that the children of Florence would dash about on Midsummer's Day
to find the delicious strawberries that grew wild upon the hillsides.
We honor this tradition with a special Strawberry Hunt for our very own children.

This hunt will not be with live strawberries so the mothers will not need to worry themselves of
the bright red stains from the strawberry juice.
These will be special and very fun to find.

Children from 2-years old to 5-years old will hunt the large, red strawberries,
while children 6-years old to 8-years old will hunt the medium pink berries,
and those children from 9-years old to 12-years old will have to hunt for those tiny green berries.

The child in each age group who finds the most berries will receive a special treat!
What do you suppose it will be?
You will have to come and participate to find out!

So prepare yourselves!

Put on those matching tunics and hose so that all will know who your teammates are!
Be ready to fight with weapon, charm and decor!
Come enjoy a midsummer's day feasting and cheering friends on!
